Hello,
I am Dr. Teresa Roncal. I have a Ph.D. in Geochemistry and have spent many years working as a Materials Science researcher at the university of York and Leeds. As a lifelong reseacher, I am constantly investigating and delving deeper into a wide range of subjects. The human body has always fascinated me; I am perpetually intrigued by its intricate workings.
I first encountered Myofascial Release when suffering with hypertonic pelvic floor. A series of MFR sessions coupled with gentle exercises, brought back my quality of life. MFR proved transformative, gradually alleviating my pain and enabling me to regain my energy levels. Thanks to MFR, I was finally able to navigate daily life without the constant need for rest.
Having already trained in various bodywork techniques, including Sports Massage and Tuina, I shifted my focus to Myofascial Release. I specifically trained under the guidance of Amanda Oswald at the Pain Clinic in Leeds, a leading UK institution in MFR. I now specialise in pelvic health issues and have undertaken further training in specific Myofascial Release techniques for women's and men's health with Yvonne Brannigan and Ruth Duncan at In-touch Education, MFR UK. I am fully insured to practice with Balenes.
My primary objective during your treatment is to guide you towards improved movement and reduced pain levels. I understand the paramount importance of feeling safe and secure during treatment and I strive to provide a safe, caring, and discreet environment where your modesty is always respected. I approach every treatment with a caring, open-minded, and non-judgmental attitude. I actively listen to your needs and ensure you remain in complete control throughout the session.
